Layover Woe

I had a false start today.

Our flight to Detroit was delayed for 4 hours and because of that we wouldn't make it on time to our connecting flight to Osaka. Because of that we tried to find an alternative flight, but...there weren't any. So after spending hours at the airport we finally gave up and went home with the promise from NorthWest that everything will be right tomorrow.

Well, we also got a $250 voucher each for the hassle but I would have still rather just gotten to Osaka on time. Now we're at home after hailing a taxi and trying to get rested after all of the exhausting bother of today.

It just felt like nothing was going our way today :( So now I'm going to take a shower and try to get some rest for another day of travel.

Have you been inundated with Matt Rife?  I don't want to sound like a hater. I think humor is relative and subjective and he is funny and certainly has proven he is successful at it. I'm not here to criticize his actual craft.  I for one never understood when Dane Cook was hot and selling out Madison Square Garden with his schtick.  I don't personally get it, but I'm not the humor police and that's why there are so many options available, right?  Same with Matt Rife.  There is not one standard for being a good comic.  I just happen to not guffaw at his humor as much as just give it a small smirk.  It's interesting observation about being in gay shape? Double Your Stoves, Double Your Fun

House, how's the HOUSE, Kelly? That's what our families are always asking. If you're tired of house talk, turn away. Our water closet on the first floor has been though an awful lot. That poor little room. When we first bought the house it had a shower stall and a toilet. Seeing the obvious problem with going to the potty and having to rinse your hands in a shower stall we pulled that shower out and placed it on the 2nd floor (for now) and were living okay with a vanity in it's place. However, like with a lot of things in the house the water closet still needs work and so this past Sunday it got gutted. The toilet and vanity are now in my kitchen (my poor kitchen) and Trevor's been working on fixing the wall there to be more sound proof. It's one of the very few walls through which we can hear our tenants. Otherwise the house is so massive that I can't even tell when they're home.
